Pierce LePage is a Canadian decathlete who’s been ranked #1 in the world the last two years. Pierce captured his first global title, winning gold at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. This was an improvement over his silver medal performance at the 2022 World Championships . Pierce won silver medal for Canada at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and bronze at the 2019 Pan Am Games. Pierce attended the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio as a spectator as the winner of RBC’s Training Ground program. Five years later, the Whitby, Ontario athlete represented Canada, as an RBC sponsored athlete, at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo placing 5th.
Pierce started the 2023 season winning the prestigious Götzis decathlon in Austria, defeating fellow Canadian and reigning Olympic champion Damian Warner in the process.
Standing at 6’8″, and weighing in at 194lbs, LePage’s physique is well suited to the demands of the ten events he contends over the course of the two-day decathlon competition. When he’s not recovering from workouts, or in class completing his degree at York University, Pierce enjoys visiting escape rooms and gaming online with other world class League of Legends players.
